Make Long Life Juice

Wow this juice taste serious good. It has a sweet vegetable flavour with a slight peppery taste from the radishes and a really nice tang from the whole lemon.

INGREDIENTS

  • 3 carrots

  • 3 radishes

  • 2 red apples

  • 1 baby beetroot

  • 2 tbsp sauerkraut juice

  • 1 lemon

PREPARATION

Radish (10 sec)

  • Cut in half

  • Juice with skin on

Carrots (15 sec)

  • Cut carrots lengthwise once

  • If larger carrots are used cut again lengthwise

Beetroot (10 sec)

  • Cut in half

  • Juice with skin on (you can also juice the leaves and stems).

Apples (15 sec)

  • Remove the stems and remove any stickers

  • Juice apples whole with skin and seeds.

  • Cut in half or quarters if too big to fit into the wide chute.

Lemon (30 sec)

  • Remove stickers and cut off any hard end points

  • Slice lemons into rounds with skin on to give more flavour and get more juice from each lemon.

Sauerkraut (10 sec)

  • Pour off 2 tbsp of juice into a small container

  • If you don't have enough juice you can put some of the sauerkraut through the juicer

METHOD

  1. Keep the cap closed at the start to blend the 1st couple of ingredients.

  2. Begin juicing the radishes and the carrots together one half at a time. Go slow and let the machine juice each one before adding in another.

  3. Next add the beetroot halves and let the juice mix in before opening the cap to release the juice into the jug.

  4. Next juice each of the apples straight into the jug and finish with the slices of lemon.
