Make Apple and Spinach Juice

Description

A fresh spinach juice with apple is great for cleansing. Having the apple as a base makes it easier to consume than spinach on its own. This juice is best consumed in the morning, once or twice a week.

Ingredients

  • 2 cups spinach

  • 2 apples

  • 1/2 a lemon

  • 1 stalk celery (optional)

Preparation

Spinach (2 min)
Rinse under cold water. Chopping is optional.

Apple (2 min)
Rinse to remove waxy layer with a cloth, while removing any labels. Remove stalk.

Lemon (3 min)
Either squeeze into juicer, or peel. It is OK to keep the pith on.

Celery (2 min) - Optional ingredient addition
Cut celery into lengths. This helps to ensure the celery does not clog in the juicer.

Method

  1. With the cap closed, first add to your juicer the apple. If you chose to add celery, also add these a few at a time.

  2. Next add the spinach. If there is not enough juice, you can add some additional water.

Tip: Dark green spinach produces best results.
