Juicing Method
I always add any herbs first when using a Kuvings cold press juicer as you get a lot more of the herbal flavour mixed into the juice.
Start by adding the whole handful of mint leaves into the juicer.
Next, add the cabbage pieces in handfuls at a time. The cabbage will make lots of squeaking noise as it is being pressed through the juicer. This is OK!
Next, add the ginger slices.
Finish with the pineapple. Add the strips first one at a time letting each piece press through before adding more strips. Leave the core pieces till last adding them all in together.
Health Benefits
Cabbage has high levels of glucoraphanin, which the body readily converts into sulforaphane. Your cells can use sulforaphane to fight inflammation, speed healing as well as protect against a variety of diseases
One of the best-researched health benefits of cabbage juice is its ability to heal ulcers. The high content of glutamine in cabbage, an amino acid that is the preferred fuel for the cells that line the stomach and small intestine, is likely the reason for cabbage juice’s efficacy in healing ulcers.
Pineapple has been used as a folk remedy for centuries for a variety of ailments, particularly digestive problems. Bromelain is a proteolytic digestive enzyme found in pineapple and is still active when juiced in a cold press juicer.
Ginger is one of the world’s oldest and most popular medicinal spices. It stimulates digestion, keeps the intestinal muscles toned, and relieves abdominal bloating, vomiting, and diarrhea.
Mint is a sweet, mild herb that is packed with vitamins, minerals, and antioxidants Mint is wonderful for digestive ailments such as nausea, indigestion, ulcers, halitosis, and flatulence.
