Make a Pear Shaped Juice
Description
The recipe is a wonderful digestive tonic with the combination of cabbage and pear being especially good nutrition for the digestive system. If you have eaten poorly and feel your digestive system has gone a bit pear-shaped then try drinking this juice.
The flavour is very well balanced, slightly sweet, and refreshing. It is an easy juice to make and you get lots of fresh juice.
Ingredients
4 pears
2 cucumbers
1/4 cabbage (green)
Juicing Time: 3 mins
Juice Qty: 1100ml
Serves: 3
Preparation
Pear
Remove the hard wooden stems
Juice whole or cut in half if too big to fit into the wide chute
Cucumber
Cut into chunks to fit down the chute
Juice with skin on
Cabbage
Cut into slices about 5cm wide
Chop slices into pieces small enough to fit down the chute
Method
Start with the pears. Add them to the juicer one at a time allowing each one to press through fully.
Next add the cabbage, one chunk at a time.
Finish with the cucumber pieces also adding them one at a time.
Remember it is a cold press juicer so let the juicer press each ingredient through before adding more ingredients.
Tip: select the harder pears when buying as they press better in the juicer.
