How to make Apple a Day - Breakfast Juice
Look at the colour of this juice.
Such a deep red from all the apples and beetroot. It’s a great morning juice with lots of natural sweetness to get you going. If you like ginger put a little extra in because it goes really well with apples.
The old saying “An Apple A Day keeps the Doctor Away” , imagine what having more than one could do.
Ingredients
9 red apples
1 beetroot
1 lemon
1 ginger (2cm piece)
Juicing Time: 4 mins
Juice Qty: 1500ml
Serves: 6
Preparation
Apples
Remove the stems.
Juice apples whole with skin and seeds.
Cut in half or quarters if too big to fit into the wide chute of your kuvings juicer.
Beetroot
Cut in half and then into quarters.
Slice each half into thin slices to make it easier to press.
Juice with skin on (you can also juice the leaves and stems if you have them).
Lemon
Cut off any hard end points.
Slice lemons into rounds with skin on to give more flavour and get more juice from each lemon.
Ginger
Cut off a 2cm thick piece.
Cut into thin slices leaving the skin on.
Method
Start this juice with the beetroot to get the maximum amount of colour. Always go slow with beetroot juicing 2 or 3 slices at a time.
Next juice half the apples, one by one followed by the ginger then the rest of the apples.
Finish with the lemon slices.
