How to make Red Rush Juice
We enjoy the arrival of plum season with its diverse array of varieties, colours, and flavours. For this particular recipe, we opted for red-fleshed plums to compliment the red grapefruits and red apples, giving the juice its name. However, feel free to use any plum variety you have on hand.
This juice offers a delightful bittersweet taste, ideal for promoting heart health and blood circulation. The texture is luxuriously thick and creamy, thanks to the extraction of soluble fibre using a Kuvings cold press juicer.
Ingredients
6 Plums
1 Grapefruit, ruby red
2 Apples, red
Preparation
Plum
Cut either side of the stone in two halves
Trim extra flesh around the stone
Juice with skin on
Apple
Remove the stems
Juice apples whole with skin and seeds
Cut in half or quarters if too big to fit into the chute
Grapefruit

Method
When juicing stone fruit, exercise caution by ensuring you remove the stones from the plums before processing.
Begin by juicing the soft plums first, as they effortlessly yield juice. Add them half by half to facilitate easy juicing.
Proceed to juice the grapefruit, incorporating one quarter at a time. Allow the juicer to press each piece before adding the next.
Conclude the juice preparation by processing the apples.
Health Benefits
Plums serve as a valuable source of potassium, a vital mineral crucial for sustaining normal blood pressure and supporting proper heart function.
Apples stand as a genuine healing food, offering living water that aids the liver in maintaining optimal hydration capabilities. This allows the liver to store water and release it into the bloodstream when needed, especially in situations where the blood may be dehydrated or not flowing smoothly.
