How to make Spiced Pumpkin Juice

Ingredients

  • 1/4 Pumpkin

  • 2 Carrots

  • 2 Apples, red

  • 1 Ginger - 2cm piece

  • 1/2 Lemon

  • Ground Cinnamon - for dusting

Preparation

Pumpkin

  • Cut into thick slices

  • Remove green skin

  • Dice into small cubes

Carrot

  • Juice with skin on

  • AUTO10: Cut into 2 or 3 pieces across the carrot to fit in the hopper

Apple

  • Remove the stems

  • Juice apples whole with skin and seeds

  • Cut in half or quarters if too big to fit into the wide chute

Lemon

  • Cut off any hard end points

  • Slice lemons into rounds with skin on to give more flavour and get more juice from each lemon

Ginger

  • Wash and dry

  • Cut into thin pieces the size of your thumbnail leaving the skin on

Cold Press Juicing Method

  1. Begin by adding the carrots to the juicer

  2. Slowly add the pumpkin cubes, one at a time, as they are quite fibrous & is a hard vegetable.

  3. Add the ginger, followed by the apples.

  4. Finish by adding the lemon to the juicer.

  5. Serve and Garnish: Pour the juice into a large glass and dust the top with ground cinnamon. Enjoy your delicious homemade juice!

TIP - If pumpkin has a shiny skin it means it isn’t ripe. Look for one with a matte and slightly dull appearance.
