Make a Apple Sprout Juice
Description
This juice recipe is super easy to make and is refreshing and hydrating.
You can add any combination of sprouts to your cold-pressed juice recipes for additional flavour and of course, they contain lots of high-quality nutrients.
I used alfalfa sprouts in this recipe which added and beautiful herb flavour to the sweetness of the apples and cucumber juice. The lemon with skin on gives the juice a good tang too.

Health Benefits
Alfalfa Sprouts
According to nutrition experts, alfalfa is one of the most nutrient-rich foods in the world.
The germinated sprouts contain vitamins B1, B2, B3, B6, B17, C, D, E, K, hundreds of minerals, and14 different amino acids including 8 essential ones.
Alfalfa sprouts are a phenomenal source of saponins which are known for their potent anti-inflammatory and immune boosting properties.
Alfalfa sprouts are one of the top sources of antioxidants among all vegetables and are excellent at helping to prevent heart disease, leukemia, pancreatic, colon, prostate, and breast cancer.
They also contain natural fluorine which prevents tooth decay and helps to rebuild decayed teeth.
Green Apple
Green apples have it all in the world of juicing. They have a thick skin which makes them crispier and super easy to juice in a cold press juicer. They have a tangy, sour taste which pairs well with green vegetables.
All apples have a perfect 5-pointed star when cut across the middle. This star represents a human being standing with arms outstretched in the shape of a star. The old saying an apple a day keeps the doctor away is an ancient truth. Apples have been designed by mother nature as an everyday health-preserving, disease-fighting food.
Phytochemicals found in apples are responsible for heavy metal and radiation detoxification. The fruit helps cleanse and purify the organs, improve circulation in your lymphatic system, repair damaged skin, and regulate blood sugar.
Green apples are a better source of vitamin A, B, C, E and K than red apples. Also, green apples contain more Iron, Potassium, and Protein than red apples.
Cucumber
Cucumber juice is highly alkalinizing and very hydrating. When your blood is well hydrated it can carry more oxygen which increases energy levels, kills bacteria and viruses and improves circulation.
Cucumbers can counteract toxins and lift depression; cleanse the blood; quench thirst, moisten the lungs, and purify the skin.
Cucumber juice also cools most inflammatory or heat-related conditions, including stomach inflammation, conjunctivitis, sore throat, acne, and inflamed skin diseases. Hence the saying cool as a cucumber.
Cucumbers are also allies to the liver due to their ability to hydrate it. Your liver’s always in need of living water that’s filled with minerals and other nutrients because your liver keeps your blood hydrated. It relies on sources such as cucumber for that living water.
Plus you get lots of juice without any calories.
Lemon
Lemons are a must have ingredient in any juicing kitchen. They help make veggie juices taste better and help fruit juices last long when stored in the fridge. Lemons are rich in bioflavonoids which can significantly boost the immune system and reduce inflammation in the body. Lemon juice is known to be particularly beneficial for colds, coughs, and sore throats.
Lemons act as a cleanser and astringent; they squeeze toxins from the tissues and stimulate the liver to detoxify. Lemon juice is good for asthma, headaches, pneumonia, and arthritis.
Lemon juice is also beneficial for removing poisons in the form of old drug residues from the body.
Enjoy!
