Love Potion Juice
Description
Strawberries in juice are amazing and combine perfectly with watermelon. They both have a beautiful aroma and are fruity, sweet, and juicy.
Strawberries are shaped like a love heart and it turns out they are actually great for heart health and can significantly improve platelet function which prevents blood cells from becoming “sticky”. In addition, strawberries lower LDL “bad” cholesterol and triglycerides, which are both risk markers of heart disease.
I named this juice recipe Love Potion because when you try it I know you will love it.
Makes a great juice to have for breakfast.
Taste
Fruity, and sweet.
Ingredients
1/8 watermelon
1/2 pineapple
200g strawberries
Juicing Time: 6 mins
Juice Qty: 1200 ml
Serves: 4
Preparation
Watermelon
Thinly slice the outer green skin leaving most of the white flesh intact
Cut the melon into slices about two fingers wide
Cut the slices into long strips about three fingers wide
Pineapple
Slice off the outer skin
Cut into long thin strips to fit down the chute
Chop the core into small chunks
Strawberry
Pull off the small green leaves
Juice whole
Method
Start with the strawberries as they will coat the strainer in the juicer and add more strawberry flavour to the other ingredients that get pushed through it.
You can add them in handfuls as they juice easily.
Next juice the watermelon by adding a piece or two at a time. You can go quickly as they also juice easily.
Add the pineapple pieces next one at a time but leave the core pieces until last to help push everything through.
Tip: if you don’t have fresh strawberries you can use thawed frozen ones
Enjoy!
